Uncle Junk? is a paid service that provides comprehensive rubbish removal. This includes picking up items from any location, loading them into the truck, cleaning up the area afterward, and covering any disposal or recycling fees. We provide a transparent, upfront price before starting the work, and that's the amount you'll pay once the job is completed—no hidden costs! Just point us in the right direction, and we'll take care of making your junk disappear!

We strive to provide you with an accurate price, which is why we base it on the space your items occupy in the truck. To do this, we need to assess your items in person before giving you a final quote. Our friendly team will visit your location and evaluate all the items you want removed. They will then provide you with an exact price before starting the work. We only proceed with the job if you are satisfied with the price. If you decide not to proceed, simply let us know, and we'll respect your decision and leave.

We welcome both cash and major credit cards for payment, and certain locations may offer additional payment methods. Payment is finalized after the job has been successfully completed.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an exact price over the phone. Our pricing is usually determined by the amount of space your items occupy in the truck, so we need to assess the items in person to give you an accurate quote. In some cases, for single item removals, we may be able to provide an estimated price before your appointment, but the final price will be confirmed onsite. To obtain a price, we recommend scheduling a free, no-obligation onsite estimate through our booking platform.

We determine our junk removal pricing based on the amount of space your items occupy in the back of our truck, which is segmented into fractions like ⅛, ¼, ½, ¾, and a full truckload. Our trucks are equivalent to seven pickup trucks in capacity.

Each location may have a minimum charge for our team to remove your items, and prices can vary depending on factors such as local disposal and recycling fees.

We also offer single-item pricing for specific items like mattresses or TVs, which may sometimes be lower than our minimum charge.

For heavy materials such as dirt, concrete, and gravel, pricing is calculated based on the total volume these materials take up in the truck, with a maximum height of one foot for a full truck.

Our team members will give you a courtesy call 15-30 minutes before your scheduled two-hour appointment window on the day of your appointment. They'll inform you of their estimated arrival time and confirm any details relevant to your appointment.

Whether we can remove your items without your presence depends on your location. Certain franchises can complete the job even if you're not home, provided that the items are easily accessible and payment can be processed over the phone. However, some locations may require your presence for the removal process.

Certainly! We offer No Contact Rubbish Removal to ensure the safety and comfort of both our customers and our teams. This service allows us to remove items without direct contact.

What We Take

We commonly assist people in disposing of items such as mattresses, couches, various types of furniture, and electronics. As long as the items are not toxic or hazardous and can be lifted and loaded by two people, we can remove them. Whether your items are in the garage, backyard, attic, or any other location, we can take care of it—all you need to do is point us in the right direction!

Certain locations may accept paint, while others may not be able to do so due to variations in local regulations. For locations that can accept paint, please be aware that they typically require the paint to be completely dried before removal. If you need to dispose of paint, please contact us, and we will inform you if your location can accommodate it.

Certainly! We handle large and bulky items regularly. If two people can lift and load the item into the truck, we are more than happy to remove it for you!

We strive to be environmentally conscious and comply with local regulations. Our approach involves recycling and donating items whenever possible to minimize landfill waste.

The list of items that 1-800-GOT-JUNK? cannot accept varies by location due to local regulations. Generally, we do not accept toxic or hazardous materials, and we are unable to take car or truck chassis. Here are some examples of items we typically do not accept:
  • Chemicals, solvents, and oils
  • Asbestos
  • Storage and oil drums (unless they are empty with the top and bottom cut out)
  • Oil and waste storage tanks

Certainly! We are fully licensed and insured, with insurance coverage for damages to both individuals and property for every booking.

Although we don't cover every single area on the map, we do serve nearly all major metropolitan areas throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. To check if we operate in your area, you can begin a booking by entering your postal code.

Operating hours differ among our locations, but many of our franchises operate on both weekends and weekdays. Our call center is available from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. AEDT, 365 days a year, and you can also book online to schedule an appointment at your convenience.
